How To: Install Lynx Driver on a Samsung SmartThings Hub
Due to recent updates to Samsung's SmartThings platform API, all new devices being onboarded to Lynx through a SmartThings Hub will require that a driver be installed on the hub before devices are paired.
This installation will be completed by the Order Fulfillment team when you purchase new hubs from Lynx, but if you would like to use a hub that has not been programmed by Lynx, you can install the driver by following the steps below.
Before you begin, if you have lock(s) paired to the hub you will need to unpair the lock(s).
Any other smart devices like thermostat, door/ window sensor, garage controller, leak sensor
can remain paired to the hub.
For the driver to install successfully, the firmware of the hub should be 000.038.000XX or
greater.
