Set Up: Lynx with Track
During the initial release of Lynx lock access control automation, access codes for reservation changes will be handled manually. There is an update slated to be released prior to July 30th, 2020, which will automate reservation changes.
There are no steps/ actions to be performed in Lynx. You do NOT add integration in Lynx, or link a property to PMS on Lynx. Entire setup and linking of each property is completed on Track directly.

Requesting Guest's Access code for a New Reservation
In Track: |
There is an option to set automation to request a code in Track under 'Access Control Preferences' you can set this up to be a few days before the check-in date or if set to 200 days before arrival, this will go out as soon as the reservation is booked.
Keep in mind the access codes in Lynx only become active on the date / time the reservation starts and access codes will be deactivated at the date/ time the reservation is set to check out.
Reach out to the Track Support team for information and training. |
The power and reliability of Lynx lies in the ability to create time-sensitive codes directly on the
lock, months in advance. Now, if you lose internet or power at the property, there will be no
impact to the guest check-in. The sooner you request the code, the more stress-free and
reliable the check-in will be.
Updating Guest's Access code when a Reservation is Modified
In the event that a guest edits reservation dates or moves to another unit, the access code must be manually replaced.
In Track: |
After the change has been made, select the access code on the left under the general header. In the editing mode, select a new access code and save. This will create a code for the new dates and/or the new unit. The guest portal will update with the new code. |
Deleting Guest's Access code when a Reservation is Canceled
In the event of a reservation cancellation, the access code must be manually removed from
Track.
In Track: |
Within the reservation, select the access code on the left under the general header. In the editing model, delete the access code and save. This will prevent the code from being visible to agents, remove the code from the guest portal and delete it within Lynx. |
