How to: Factory Reset Your Assure Lock 2 (YRD410)

This article describes how to reset your Yale Assure Lock 2 to its factory settings.

A factory reset erases all guest and owner data from your lock, restoring it back to its original
settings. It also removes the lock from any owner or guest keychains that it is affiliated with.

Factory Reset Instructions using Yale access App

Step 1:

On your phone, open the Yale Access App and go to the lock circle screen. This is the screen that shows you whether your lock is online, lock or unlocked.

Step 2:

Select the Settings menu by tapping the gear icon (⚙︎).

Step 3:

Select the device you wish to reset.

Step 4:

Scroll to Factory Reset.

Step 5:

Select Reset Lock.

If you attempt a factory reset when you’re not connected to Bluetooth, you will receive a "Trouble Connecting to Lock" notification. If possible, try factory resetting the next time you are in Bluetooth range. If you have moved and you are unable to factory reset while in Bluetooth range of the lock, select Reset Anyway when you receive the notification.

Factory Reset Instructions for Locks not set up in the Yale Access app (Manual process)

Step 1:	Remove the battery cover and one battery from the lock. To remove the battery cover, slide it up.
Step 2:	Press and hold the reset button with the reset tool provided in the hardware box. Be sure to not let go yet.
Step 3:	Reinsert the battery, while continuing to hold the reset button for 1 minute. The lock keypad buttons will begin to flash in a clockwise pattern. This means the reset was successful.
Step 4:	Replace the cover and Wait 1 minute before setting up in the Yale Access app again.
