How To: Add Lynx Access Codes in Guesty
You can share the Lynx-generated access code via Guesty. Lynx is syncing the guest access code to the 'KeyCode' field. The NOTES field will be discontinued on Oct 31, 2022.
Ensure you are using the {{key_code}} merge tag in Guesty Templates moving forward.
Note 1: |
Guesty uses the "key code" field to import the Lynx-generated access code for each stay. |
Note 2: |
In auto messages, this field is represented by {{key_code}}. Note {{notes_guest}} variable used before will not be used after 10/31/2022 from Lynx.
To clarify the field name is "Key code" but the variable you paste in the message is{{key_code}}
|
Note 3: | Include {{key_code}} variable in the arrival/ check-in information. |
Important: | If you include {{notes_guest}} variable to be sent "at confirmation", the {{notes_guest}} variable would be blank after 10/31/2022. |
You can also send the guest another email/ text from Lynx directly a few hours before check-in. Use tag <<ACCESS_CODE_INSTRUCTIONS>>.
How to add KeyCode in Guesty Automation Setup
Automations > Create new/Edit Existing => Click on Add variable
See an example of the text and image that will be sent to the guest. The guest will see the code, instructions to operate the lock as well as an image of the lock. Clear access Instructions like these mean your guests will be far less likely to call for their access codes or ask for help with the locks.
