This article is designed to help you troubleshoot the Yale direct wifi lock offline issue with the following models: YRD216, YRD612, YRL216, and YRL612. This guide provides step-by-step troubleshooting tips, practical checks, and recommended solutions tailored to these models. By following the procedures outlined here, you’ll be able to diagnose and resolve many typical issues efficiently, minimize downtime, and ensure your devices operate smoothly.
When to use this article?
1. When your YRD216, YRD612, YRL216, or YRL612 locks are not responding.
2. When the lock shows as offline in the Yale app.

Step 1: Basic Troubleshooting |
If you see the lock offline in the Lynx portal, the first thing you should check is the status of the lock in the Yale app. The first step should be to try the basic troubleshooting for the lock offline.

Please make sure to make a video of the troubleshooting so that it
1. Get the Yale app credentials if not available; then, please contact Lynx support. 2. Sign in to the Yale app and go to the home where the lock is added to, and check the status of the lock in the App.
3. If the lock is showing offline, then tap on the gear icon on the bottom right side, click on lock settings, look for Wi-Fi connectivity, and see if it says Wi-Fi connected or device is offline. To check whether the lock is connected via Bluetooth only, please follow the steps below:
4. If the lock is not connected to Wi-Fi, then it will not even show the option for Wi-Fi signal under the device information. Please make sure you are onsite while doing troubleshooting
5. If, in any case, you are not able to see the Wi-Fi signal option under the device information, then please check if you can see this option. If you are not even able to see the option, then try closing the app and re-opening it.
6. If the lock is showing offline in the Lynx but it is online in the Yale app, then first make sure that the lock is responding fine from the Yale app. If it is responding fine, then check the following things Please make sure to test the connectivity with Bluetooth turned
***To update the firmware on the lock the phone should be close to the lock and connected over Bluetooth.

| Step 3: Checking Wi-Fi connectivity |
1. Check the Wi-Fi connectivity on the property and make sure that you can connect to Wi-Fi on another device and can browse.
2. Please make sure you are testing the Wi-Fi signal strength from the Yale app while standing next to the lock.
3. If you confirm that they have changed the Wi-Fi credentials or the internet router on the property, then switch the Wi-Fi on the lock through the Yale app.
