Understanding: Yale Modules
Yale Locks are designed to work with many different setups, and in general, it is the module inside the lock that will determine the setup.
Note: Please note that these modules are for the Yale Assure and NexTouch Locks.

Use this module to connect to the August Home Connect Hub. The ideal range is within 15 feet of the lock. Lynx supports this module.

This module is used to connect all Z-wave compatible hubs. Yale YRD216/ YRL216 locks are recommended. Lynx supports this module and all supported hubs can be used with locks containing the Zwave module. However, Lynx recommends the Samsung Smartthings hub by Aeotec.
The Picture of the Zigbee module in red color is listed below. This module is not compatible with Lynx.

Note: Yale locks are modular in design and these modules are swappable, but when you do
that, you will need to factory reset the lock.
