How to: Connect Sensors

This guide will show you how to connect your Door or Windows Sensors to Smartthings.

Before we start, you will need the following:

• Smart things Login Credentials
  • Please contact Lynx if you need this information.
• Mobile Device, app works Android and Apple mobile devices

The Process:

Step 1:	Install the sensor but do not remove the tab.
Step 2:	On the Smarthings app, first, verify that you are in the correct location. It is the home button at the top right corner, click it if you need to change your location.
Step 3:	On the Smarthings app, press the (+) at the top right corner. Choose Add Device.
Step 4:	Look for the 'Scan' option and click on it.
Step 5:	The next screen will start the scan, you will see a confirmation that scanning has started. The hub will start blinking green as well.
Step 6:	The app will update when the sensor has connected. Please make sure you are renaming the sensor as well.
Step 7:	Please reach out to Lynx Support (onboarding@getlynx.co) to know the sensor has been connected so we can add it to your unit on Lynx. We must install our software so the devices will be recognized on Lynx.
