There are a few crucial steps to remember when installing a Yale Touchscreen Lever Lock.

If you incorrectly determine the handing for the blunger, the door will not be able to close. |

Tailpiece position and orientation are crucial for the lock to not fail. |
|
|
|
| 3. |
When installing the rear escutcheon, check that both the tailpiece and the thumbturn are aligned properly. The tailpiece should be in the vertical position, and the thumbturn needs to be in the horizontal position. |

| 4. |
Before installing the levers, confirm that the key cylinder is aligned correctly. The tab in the cylinder must face away from the latch and door frame. |

| 5. |
Lever position is incredibly important. If the handles are installed incorrectly, the lock will not function properly. There will be no way to lock it. In other words, if you lift the handle upwards when it is locked, the door will open. Here's how to test the lock. |

Note:- Lithium batteries are not to be used in Yale locks: Yale recommends using standard
AA Alkaline batteries, non-rechargeable batteries for their locks. Lithium and extended-life
alkaline batteries may not work as well, and you may not get alerts when your batteries are
dying or when they aren't. Using them may lead to incorrect battery percentage information
on Lynx as well.
