How to: Unlock a Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat
This would only be necessary if the default Honeywell unlock code "1234" or the owner created
unlock code does not work.
If a Honeywell thermostat is accidentally locked by an owner, guest, or personnel and the unlock code for the device is unknown, you can use the default unlock code which is "1234". If this does not work Honeywell has built-in a backup on each device you can use to help unlock the device.
You can follow the below steps below to unlock your device.
The Process:

Step 1: |
Remove the face plate from the wall, and look on the backside. |
| Step 2: | Locate the four-digit number in the top right corner. |
| Step 3: | Take this pin number and add the default Honeywell code "1234" to this code. (Ex: 1234+ 2220 = New pin). The new PIN in this case is 3454. |
| Step 4: | Enter your new pin 3454 to unlock your thermostat. |
Important Note : This does not work for ALL Honeywell thermostats, just the wi-fi enabled
devices.
