How To: Unlock an Igloo Keybox with depleted batteries

If the batteries in an Igloo Keybox 3 are allowed to run down before they are changed, you will be locked out of the device and unable to change the batteries. To work around this, the Keybox 3 includes a USB-C "jump-start" port at the bottom of the front panel.

To unlock an Igloo Keybox 3 after the batteries are depleted:

1. Plug a USB-C battery charger, or a USB-C cable connected to a power source, to the USB-C "jump-start" port on the Keybox unit.
2. Enter a valid code on the keypad of the device to unlock it.
3. Open the Keybox and replace the depleted batteries with a fresh set.

NOTE: To prevent batteries running out, you can sync your Keybox 3 to the Igloohome app.
Lynx recommends syncing at least once a month to keep your device status updated.
