How To:  Add Mesh/Smart-things Wi-fi Hub

This article explains how to install Mesh Smart-things Wi-fi Hub and to extend the network.

Smart things wi-fi Hub is a wi-fi mesh router with built-in smart things hub. Begin by
making sure the smart things app is installed in your phone and you are signed in to your  
Samsung Account.

Steps	Actions
Step 1: Logging in to Smarthings mobile application.	Go to smart things app in smartphone and sign in using the credentials
Step 2: Selecting Hub	Once signed in, you'll need to start the setup so you can select your hub: Make sure you are in the correct location, then click the Plus sign in the top right corner. Select 'Add Device' Select 'wi-fi/hub under the home appliances section
Step 3: selecting Brand of device here it will be Smarthings	Select the brand of the device i.e. smart thing and select the smart thing wi-fi hub with the device's model number which could be found on your device
Step 4: Logging in to Smarthings mobile application.	Now click on start in the next screen and choose the Location and room you would like to add the hub from the dropdown , select the room and click Next  Note : Choose the wallpaper and click save and then Next once done with above step
Step 5: Connecting to Ethernet cable to the Hub	Now connect the ethernet cable one end your router/modem and the other end to the port labelled in and click Next in the phone screen.
Step 5: Connecting Power to the Hub	Now plug the power cable into the smart things wi-fi hub and click Next on phone screen.
Step 6: Connecting to Network	Wait until the LED on the Wi-Fi hub blinks Red & Green then click Next on phone screen
Step 7: Accepting User agreement	Click on Agree for end user agreement and click Next
Step 8: Naming the network and creating secure password	Name your network give a secure password make sure the box first setup smarthings Hub is checked and click on next note: wait while Wi-Fi Hub complete setup, once complete add additional Wi-Fi hubs to extend your network or Click Done.
Step 9: Using Plume application	Now click on Next to allow Plume to begin optimizing your Wi-Fi network.
Step 10: How to connect all smart devices at home or to create Automation	You can connect your smart devices and create automations to make your home a smart home touch and click on Next and click Ok to connect your mobile device to the smarthings Wi-Fi network and touch the Plume app to manage wi-fi network access

Notes

1. If you want to connect other smart devices and to convert complete automation 
   please continue using Plume app which is supported by Smartthings

2. If you are unable to update the driver, please create a tech ticket
