How to: Pair Kwikset 914 Lock to SmartThings
Preparation: What you’ll need
Pairing a Z-Wave Kwikset 914 lock to a Samsung SmartThings V3 Hub can take about 3-5 minutes.
In order to pair a Z-Wave Kwikset 914 lock you will need the following things:

SmartThings V3 hub plugged into power and ethernet (or on wifi) showing a solid green LED.

A mobile device (phone or tablet) .

You also need to remove the cover plate on the Kwikset lock that is held together by 2 screws.
On your mobile device, you will need to download the SmartThings app. Be sure you do not download the SmartThings Classic app. The icon for the app should look like this one .
Once you have the app downloaded, log in to begin the process. If you do not have the necessary credentials, contact Lynx Support.
Step One: Z-Wave Exclusion
To pair a Kwikset lock you should first reset the z-wave connection to make sure it is not paired with any other devices, and clear any old connections.
To do this in the SmartThings mobile app:

From the Home screen, select the Devices tab at the bottom of the screen

Touch the Hub and select More Options (Three dots, at the top right)

Touch Z-Wave utilities and select Z-Wave exclusion
- The hubs LED will begin to blink green

When prompted, follow the removal process:

Press the “A” button on the inside of the lock once

The app will confirm when the process completes successfully within a few seconds

After the app indicates that the device was successfully removed from SmartThings, proceed to the instructions below to connect the lock.
Step Two: To connect a Z-Wave Kwikset lock in the SmartThings app
In the SmartThings mobile app:

From the Home screen, touch the Plus (+) icon at the top right and select Add device

Select Scan near by

While the Hub searches, make sure the lock is within 10 feet of the Hub, then:

Press the “A” button on the lock to pair the device.

After the app indicates that the device was successfully paired to SmartThings, Click Edit to rename the Lock. (Name the lock with the property name)
Once you have completed the pairing process, please reach out to Lynx Support via email (onboarding@getlynx.co) that the lock is ready to be onboarded onto the Lynx Portal. Make sure to provide the property name, lock name, and the SmartThings account the lock was paired to if known.
