How to: Reconnect the Honeywell Thermostat to Wi-Fi
This article is useful to update the wifi information for the thermostat or re-connect the thermostat back to the wifi. If a thermostat is offline even though the unit has the internet, You can simply update the wifi information and the thermostat will be re-connected.
In order to proceed, the following requirement must be met
- You must have the Honeywell thermostat app, called 'Resideo' in the app stores.
- You must be logged into the Resideo app.
- You must be in the unit and near to the thermostat.
- If you don't have the Honeywell credentials, please contact the Lynx support team.
Note: Thermostats are connected to 2.4 GHZ network before being shipped out.
Please ensure you have this enabled where ever you are connecting the thermostat
The Process:
Step 1: | Log in to the Resideo app. |
Step 2: | Select the property or nickname of the thermostat. |
Step 3: | Select the offline thermostat. |
Note: If your thermostat is online here. there is no need to update the wifi. The thermostat
is already connected.
Step 4: | Click gear icon. |
Step 5: | Click Reset Wifi. |
Step 6: | Follow the steps to update the password for the thermostat. |
Step 7: | After updating the password, please confirm if the thermostat is back online in Lynx. |

If the thermostat is still offline, ensure the wifi on the thermostat itself is turned on. You can access this from the menu on the thermostat itself - Menu > Wi-Fi > On/Off
